How to set an alarm online

  1. Enter the alarm time, or tap a wake up time such as 6:00 or 7:30.
  2. Give the alarm a label if you like, for example “Wake up” or “Take medication”.
  3. Choose one of 13 alarm sounds and check the volume with “Test sound”.
  4. Click Set alarm. The clock shows how long it is until the alarm goes off.

When the alarm rings, press Stop or snooze it for 5 minutes. Need an alarm in 15 minutes or in 1 hour? The buttons under “Alarm in” set a one-off alarm that rings at the exact second.

An alarm clock in your browser

This alarm clock website works on any computer, laptop, tablet or phone with a modern browser. There is nothing to install and no account. Your alarms are saved in your browser, so they are still there when you come back tomorrow. You can set several alarms at once and switch each one on or off.

A loud alarm for heavy sleepers: tips so it really wakes you

  • Keep the tab open. An online alarm can only ring while the page is open. Other tabs are fine.
  • Turn the volume up and do not mute the browser tab. Test the sound once before you go to sleep.
  • Plug in your laptop and switch off sleep mode. While an alarm is set, the page asks your device to keep the screen on.
  • Phones often stop pages in the background. For waking up with a phone, the built-in clock app is the safer choice.

Alarm clock or timer?

An alarm clock rings at a time of day, such as 7:00. A timer rings after a duration, such as 20 minutes. For durations use our online timer or a fixed countdown like the 5 minute timer with alarm, the 30 minute timer or the 1 hour timer. To measure how long something takes, use the stopwatch.

Frequently asked questions

Is the online alarm clock free?

Yes. The alarm clock is free, needs no signup and no download. It runs in your browser on desktop and mobile.

Will the alarm ring if my computer goes to sleep?

No. A sleeping computer stops all web pages. Keep your device awake and plugged in, and leave the tab open. While an alarm is set, the page keeps the screen on where the browser allows it.

Can I set several alarms?

Yes. Every alarm you set appears in the list below the clock. You can switch each one on or off or delete it. They are stored in your browser and are still there tomorrow.

How does snooze work?

When the alarm rings, press Snooze and it rings again in 5 minutes. Stop ends the alarm and switches it off until you turn it on again.

How do I set an alarm for 15 minutes from now?

Use the buttons under “Alarm in”: they set an alarm in 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes that rings at the exact second.
