How the timer with music works
- Choose how long the timer should run, from 1 to 60 minutes or any time you like.
- Pick a music style: Calm piano chords, Lo-fi focus with a soft beat, Happy for tidy up time, or Rain noise.
- Press Start. The music fades in, the countdown runs, and at zero the music fades out and a soft bell rings.
The music is generated live in your browser, so it never runs out, never repeats an ad and needs no download.
Use your own song as a timer
Switch to My own song and choose an audio file from your phone or computer. The timer takes the length of the song: a 3:45 song gives a 3 minute 45 second countdown that ends with the last note. Perfect for a tidy up song, a workout track or a game round. The file is played only in your browser and is never uploaded to our server.

Music tells a class how much time is left without anybody looking at the clock. Many teachers use a calm style for independent work and the happy style for clean up time. Show the timer in fullscreen on the board: the big digits and the progress bar make the time visible for everybody. Without music, the visual timer and the sand timer work well too.

Is the music copyright free?
Yes. The built-in music is generated by our own code in your browser while the timer runs, so you can use it in class, in videos and in streams.
Is my own song uploaded?
No. The song is opened and played only in your browser. It never leaves your device and nothing is stored on our server.
Can I use a timer with music for 10 or 20 minutes?
Yes. Pick 10 or 20 minutes with one tap, or enter any time up to 600 minutes. The music plays for the whole countdown.
Does the music keep playing in a background tab?
Yes. The music and the countdown keep running when you switch tabs or open another app, as long as this page stays open.
Can I turn off the bell at the end?
Yes. Switch off “Bell at the end” and the timer ends with the music fading out.
